Okay gals in Burlington, Oakville and Mississauga ~~ start looking for your project you are working on at stitch and chat this Friday. I have bindings to do and I think I'll grab my knitting should boredom set in with that task.
To those that won't be able to join us.......you shall be missed.
A quilt should never take this long.....never....and yet there is another in the closet that has never been finished. I started to hand quilt that one and that was a big mistake. But that's another story for another day!
I took this quilt over to Sewing Machines, etc., and did the long arm quilting on it.
I chose a pattern exclusive to the store called
Passion Fruit with a Twist.
Anne designed it and I do like it, but I'm going to have to start looking for another panto. I've used this one a couple of times.
The backing went on the frame beautifully and it was still straight when all the trimming and squaring up was done. That makes you feel so good
I used a Superior King Tut variegated thread on both the top and bottom. Same colour for both the top and the back.
The batting is the same 80 x 20 that I've used for quite awhile.
The finished quilt measures 85 x 85
I really wanted to photograph this quilt out on the snow
I went all the way down to the back garden and started to walk through that pure white fluff
only to find it over the tops of my boots! I tried to lay it flat but I just kept getting more and more snow in my boots. I gave up.
My little friends are continuing their daily visits. This was taken back in February
You can really see the red on his coat in this photo.
