This is a nothing post

I've mentioned a time or two that I'm purging my house....our house..........
the bookshelf in the upstairs sewing room......has been culled
 to now look like this.....
and these books have found a new home
This set of shelves has been cleansed of a lot......

to now look like this......the magazines have found a new home
and there was the linen cupboard........
which is sparkling with it's new look

I didn't part with some things.  Too many memories are tied up in the tablecloths, the bib, the apron, the pillowcase
Decisions were not made lightly.  I checked each and every thing before it went.  Books were looked through while I sat on the floor.  Magazines were flipped through, but I really knew which ones I didn't want.
I kept my Quiltmaker and Fons and Porter.  I love my Quilts and More so they are still on the self.
Photos definitely are being kept as they hold so many memories of our life.  The kids, the grands and the holidays we've shared.
There is more to go.
Patterns and fabric will be taken care of one day soon.  What I don't want in fabric I know homes that will welcome it.
I'm feeling really good about the cleansing of this old house.  Its like cleansing the soul, it's just good for it.
I did finish a quilt amongst all this.  It needed the binding sewn down and it is now d.o.n.e!  I took it to stitch and chat and then sat for 2 evenings to finish it off.  Just in time for one month from today!
We had a fresh snowfall so outside I went.
Thank you Betty for inspiring me to do this pattern.  I've got my thinking cap on already for the next one!

and how about the tread on my new boots!
Pretty cool snowflake!
Awhile ago on the blog (here)
I mentioned a quilt that was being raffled to raise money for
Ronald McDonald House in Hamilton, Ontario
The draw took place on Saturday, January 31st
and the winner is
Wendy M.
Thanks to Anne Friedrich and Sewing Machines, etc., customers and staff at SME
