Eye Candy

I'm late getting this posted from last month and just about on time for this month, so I evened myself out!
Eye candy from the stitch and chat group.  Elaine pieced and machine quilted this for a friend.  She did it on her regular, everyday sewing machine.

This is part of a challenge quilt.  Diane is part of a guild and you picked three fabrics and made up "something" as part of the challenge.  I believe this is a table topper.  It's a Laundry Basket Quilts pattern.
Susan ran with the Buttercream Twist pattern and made it up for a friend's new baby coming this spring.
Donna was away in Florida for a few months and brought these pieces in to show us.

Kathy was working on this
and Chris has been doing a lot of embroidery lately
This month I took one photo.....only one.
This belongs to Aurea and she worked away all day on it.  Isn't it fabulous?
She has borders to add but the top is basically done.
You need a special ruler to do it.  A strip tube ruler available on line or perhaps at your local quilt shop.
You can see one pattern using this ruler on this blog
If you google it, plenty more will come up and yes there is a book available too.
I'm going to find a really nice jelly roll on my travels this summer and make one of these up.

We are done for the year now.  We have a road trip to Quilt Canada planned for June.  We'll be back in September.
