Starry, starry skies

Our family always liked August for holidays. Way back when we took a couple of trips out to the west coast, camping all the way. Once when Peter was a wee lad and then again we took the two kiddies and headed out with our friends Jan and Reg. They stopped in Saskatchewan to see family and we continued onto Vancouver and then we met up again on our way back home. We have gone to Algonquin in August with Kristina and her kiddies and had great times at the park. Now we don't seem to go out like we used to. Guess we are getting old. One holiday in May, one in July and then again in September and we seem to be done for the year. The garden yields a lot and not much sense growing the food if you don't harvest it. The times we have travelled in August we have seen the Northern Lights and if we have been out late at night, we have wandered down to a lake and looked up..................way up.................and seen a million stars twinkling. You don't get that in the city. Its a sight to behold. This month I'm saluting those days for my family. We have great memories of those days gone by.

Here's the link to this month's download.  It will be on the Calendar page until the end of the year.
